The Bulacan State University (BulSU) is all set to unveil its annual event, "Balangayan sa Unibersidad," on Tuesday, October 24. This year's theme is 𝑷𝑨𝑴𝑨𝑵𝑨: 𝑷𝒂𝒈𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒈 𝒔𝒂 𝑷𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒏𝒂 𝑳𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒖𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒐𝒍.

To kick off the festivities, a wide-scale parade called "Gauran" is scheduled, during which university-wide and campus-based organizations will showcase their unique chants in the yell competition. Following the parade, "Layag" will take place at Valencia Hall, where each organization will raise their flags represented by their respective muse.

In preparation for this exciting event, today, on October 20, the muses of each organization dedicated their time to rehearsing their walks for perfect execution. The Office of Student Organizations and Activities also held a meeting to plan and discuss the flow of the event.

Ongoing investigation on the RAMCAR fire incident By: Dan Madrazo Unknown cause of fire broke out at RAMCAR Facilities between barangay Balasing and barangay Bulac on Monday, December 4, 2023. View of fire at Barangay Patag, Monday December 4, 2023, 4:57pm. The Sta Maria Bureau of Fire Protection is still conducting further investigation of the cause of the fire. Thick pile of smoke covered the entire area and was visible to all nearby cities of Sta. Maria, Bulacan. Initial reports said it is containing waste, stacked up in a storage facility called Material Recovery Facility (MRF). The fire quickly spread due to components inside the facility. As a result, the fire become uncontrollable and around 3:27 pm Monday, the fire reached the 1st alarm. The firefighters had a hard time terminating the fire due the pile of waste stacked up in the area. The MRF holds a vast amount of land mass for it to serve as a storage and waste facility.
